Five important organisational leadership skills that could rate you high!

Your playing a major role in the organizational hierarchy is not based on your qualifications alone. What can you bring to the table in terms of: organizing activity, responsibility for plans and processes, transforming the not so good to the great by inspiring others, assertiveness and resourcefulness.

 Organization
Organization includes attention to detail, the structuring of tasks and the setting of standards.   At times you may supervise your followers closely and at other times provide followers with work autonomy. There is likely to be a general standard for followers to work by, but at times this standard may be lax, or rigid. When worker performance begins to decline, you are likely to notice fairly early on, allowing you to correct the issue eventually.

Responsibility
Responsibility is the extent which you act professionally; you make decisions with other people in mind and express accountability for your own actions.  When making decisions, you balance your own needs and preferences with those of followers. You believe the rules are there for a reason, but can be flexible if it is deemed necessary. In some instances, you may be willing to take the blame for mistakes, but in others, you may place the blame on someone else.

Transformational Leadership
Transformational leadership is the mechanism in which leaders inspire, motivate and challenge followers to enhance their performance.  You may regularly employ charisma to motivate your followers, but not necessarily all the time. You enjoy taking centre stage, but will provide others with the opportunity to draw attention occasionally. The motivation of your followers is considered to be important, and will be frequently addressed. You will generally employ transformational leadership approaches more often than transactional leadership approaches, which spell out conditions for performance and always offer reward in exchange.
Assertiveness
Assertiveness is the extent which a person boldly or confidently expresses their opinions, or meets their goals.  You may be equally likely to remain in the background, or to take the centre stage, depending on the circumstances. Similarly, you may challenge the views or opinions of others, when they differ significantly from your own. You may openly express your opinions and ideas with certain people, but not others. When chasing goals, you are likely to work at a pace which you feel most comfortable at.

Resourcefulness
Resourcefulness is the quality of being able to cope with difficult situations in an effective and imaginative way.  You may find it relatively easy, or difficult to structure complex plans or reach solutions, depending on the situation. Similarly, you are likely to take as much time as most people when addressing difficult or persistent challenges. You may find expressing complex ideas to followers about as easy as most people. You may be equally likely to choose handling complex problems and straightforward ones.
